Why I Was Crying In The Drive-thru

soulfood

This beautiful book Fables asked for me to take it home from the Good Will. ¢99 well spent. As I sat in the impossibly long drive thru line at Starbucks (gasp I know, I live in the burbs people) I turned to this page. And I started sobbing.

I read it to Ever that night. I said baby what does that mean? Just as I had for every other fable in this book. She said matter of factly, “Don’t ask a girl out if you’re scared”.

I said- love can be its own reward.

I read it to Julius last night. He didn’t bat an eye. Just some other mumbo-jumbo weird emotional shit that Reagon is just dying to share.

I said- love can be its own reward.
